Audrey Clark of Rocky Mount, NC passed away on Wednesday, November 7th, with her family by her side and entered into eternal heaven. She was born May 1,1940 in Emporia, VA to Clyde Pair and Lillie Mae Pair Sopko both of Emporia, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Robert "Bobby" Clark; brothers, JD Pair and Jimmy Pair; sister, Erline Whitehead of Emporia, VA; and son-in-law, Wayne Bailey of Rocky Mount, NC.
Audrey was a graduate of Greensville High School, Class of 1958 of Emporia, VA. After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart on June 28, 1958.
Her hard work began with Big Star Foods and later with Merita Bread Company. Many friendships developed with her selfless actions for others through her contagious personality.
Audrey had a smile that would always warm your heart, and she was always ready with a hug and kind words. You never left her without hearing her say, "I love you." Her life was truly a precious gift for which we are deeply grateful. We’ll miss you, Mama, but we’ll carry your love with us always.
She leaves a lifetime of cherished memories to her devoted family that includes her son, Gregory Ladd Clark (Lisa) and daughter, Ellen Clark Bailey, all of Rocky Mount, NC; grandsons, Zackary Clark (Merrick Parrott) and Tyler Clark (Kristen), all of Raleigh, NC, and Seth Bailey (Bianca) of Rocky Mount, NC; great-granddaughter, Kennedy Rose Clark of Raleigh, NC; brothers, Robert Pair (Ann) of Lenoir, NC and Edward Pair (Katy) of Lancaster, SC, along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living (currently, Navion of Rocky Mount) for their compassionate and exemplary care they provided for 3.5 years. She loved you all.
Family and friends are invited for a special Celebration of Audrey's Life at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Rocky Mount Memorial Park "Chapel on the Hill" mausoleum. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the of home of her daughter, Ellen Bailey.
