KIMBERLY ADAMS MORRIS

Born: December 10th, 1964

Died: August 9th, 2025

Obituary

RAYMORE, MO – Kimberly Adams Morris, age 60, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Born in Nash County, NC on December 10, 1964, she was the daughter of the late James Arthur Adams.

Kim’s life was a living example of kindness, selflessness, and joy. She had a natural gift for making others feel valued and cared for—always placing the needs of others before her own. Her loyalty was unwavering, and those who called her a friend knew they had a champion in their corner for life.

She loved the simple but beautiful pleasures of life—losing herself in a good book, feeling the warm sand beneath her feet at the beach, and cherishing every precious moment spent with her beloved grandchildren. Her love extended to all the children in the family, each one holding a special place in her heart.

Kim’s smile was her signature—so radiant and genuine that you could see it in her eyes before it ever reached her lips. It was a smile that welcomed, comforted, and celebrated everyone around her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and laughter that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us in body, the warmth of her spirit and the light of her soul will forever shine.

Kim is survived by her husband of 43 years, Charles David Morris; her sons, James Joshua Morris, and Charles Benjamin Morris; her daughter, Amber Morris Matthews, and husband, Travis; her grandchildren, Abigail Morris, Aiden Morris, Lillian Matthews, Macklin Matthews, and Adalynn Matthews; her mother, Gail Wiggins Adams; her sisters, Sheryl Phillips, and husband, Jesse, and Janice Oakley, and husband, Jimmy; her brother, Jeffrey Brian Adams, and partner, Patricia Carroll; and a multitude of nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Kim’s life will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. John Scott officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM prior to the service in the Parlor of Johnson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kim’s memory to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741 or by visiting www.cancer.org/donate.

Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. You may share memories and condolences with the family by visiting www.johnsonfuneralsandcremations.com.
